Dori Boyd holds a Certificate of Photography from Samford University with combined coursework from UAB and Samford. Her art has been extensively exhibited in galleries across the area, including the Alabama Civil Rights Institute and the Hoover and Bessemer Libraries. Internationally distributed Shutterbug Magazine featured one of her images on the cover of their September 2011 issue. She recently was an award recipient for her entry in the Water of Alabama contest and display. She is a regular participant in Birmingham-area art shows and served as president of the Shades Valley Camera Club 2011-2013.

Dori’s is best known for her magical images of landscapes, architecture and people from all across the U.S. and her international travels. Dori’s strength lies in her composition and she considers her style of photography to have a “modern yet timeless quality.” Her images range from classic black & white and soft tints to glowing warm tones and vibrant color. She uses Canon DSLR and Sony mirrorless equipment and processes her images through Photoshop to reveal their best qualities. Dori also prints her work on fine-art, archival papers and canvas wraps are also available.
